Flax Seeds Chutney

Flax seeds provides a very good source of fibre that can lower cholesterol levels. Flax seeds also have anti-cancer properties, and may also benefit the heart. Flax seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids which reduce the formation of blood clots which reduces the risk of heart attacks. This flax seeds chutney is a very healthy accompaniment with roti and rice.

1 cup flax seeds
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
1 tsp coriander-cumin seeds powder


  • Roast the flax seeds for 5 minutes, then add all the above ingredients and blend in the mixer.
  • Serve with chapati or jowar roti with oil or curds.
