Lemon And Ginger Squash

The flavour of lemon and ginger makes this an extremely refreshing and delightful juice! The lemon and ginger squash’s perfect blend of flavours, texture and chillness make it a delicious treat for all! Moreover, it’s easy to make too!

Lemon is a low calorie fruit and can be eaten by those on fruit diets to lose weight, it has good dietary fibre with a low glycemic index, hence, it is good for diabetics. Minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus and potassium are also present. It also has very good amount of water content and can be given to patients suffering from dehydration.

Ginger’s therapeutic properties help stimulate blood circulation, cleanse the bowels and kidneys, remove toxins from the body and nourish the skin. Ginger is a good source of potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese and vitamin B6. It is also an effective cure for congestion, sore throat, cold and cough.

500 ml fresh lemon juice
125 ml ginger (adrak) juice
1 ¼ kgs sugar
500 ml water


  • Take a heavy bottomed pan and put water ,when the water becomes hot add sugar and stir continuously till the sugar melts and cook for 5 minutes and keep aside.
  • When the water and sugar solution becomes warm, add the lemon juice and ginger juice and mix well.
  • Cool and transfer it in a glass bottle and keep in the refrigerator.
  • While serving mix 1/4 glass of the squash and 3/4th glass water or soda.
  • Serve chilled.
