Delhi Carrot Halwa

 Here’s an easy way to make tasty carrot halwa that is low on calories and satisfies your sweet tooth. This classic recipe provides you plenty of vitamin A which helps to maintain a healthy vision. Gajar Halwa is a traditional hit you cannot resist!

Rich in vitamin B complex and carotene, red carrots enhance the immune system, and improve eyesight and skin health. It boosts the immunity and fights against infection. It also fights against Bronchitis and Anaemia and helps prevent heart disease and some cancers.

2 cups grated delhi carrots
2 cups milk
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
5 to 6 cashewnuts


  • Heat the ghee in a kadhai (deep pan), add the carrots and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  • Add the milk and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Add the sugar, condensed milk and cardamom powder, mix well and cook till it becomes soft and almost dry.
  • Serve hot or chilled.

Tip : According to taste, you can adjust the quantity of the sugar.
