This is a combination of ghee, gram flour and sugar which tastes extremely delicious! An amazing treat which can be made on any special occasion. This is India’s favourite sweet dish during the festival season. It looks so good that this laadu is irresistible. This laadu has a smooth texture and melts in the mouth making it more amazing to eat.
When you compare besan (gram flour) with standard plain flour, you can see that nutritionally, besan is far superior, especially since it contains more protein.
Ghee helps balance excess stomach acid, and helps repair the mucus lining of the stomach. Ghee contains butyric acid, a fatty acid that has anti-viral and anti-cancer properties.
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups gram flour
1 3/4 cups ghee
Take a deep pan and put the ghee in it.
When the ghee melts, add gram flour and roast on a medium flame till golden-brown in colour.
Keep aside and let it cool and add powdered sugar. Mix well.
Then, make laadus (round balls). Serve or store in an air tight container.
