The basic lemon juice is very simple. By adding cardamom it becomes a refreshing drink and saffron adds a lot of flavour to this making it an overall tasty and refreshing drink!

It stimulates the digestive system and reduces gas.Its expectorant action improves circulation to the lungs and thus considered good for asthma and bronchitis.Can counteract excess acidity in the stomach .An infusion made by boiling a couple of pounded cardamoms in a cup of water along with few mint leaves, relieves you from hiccups.
4 glasses boiled water
sugar to taste
10 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
8 to 10 saffron (kesar) strands
- Combine all the above ingredients and mix well.
- Let it cool, then refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
- Serve chilled!
Note : Adjust the sugar and lemon juice according to taste.
