Coriander Chutney

This chutney is extremely delicious and good-looking too! The beautiful green colour adds an element of beauty to the plate. The aromatic and flavourful nature of coriander doesn’t fail to please our taste buds! This is a side dish and is a replacement of pickles and raitas. It can be served with any meal and is quick and easy to make! The health benefits are also numerous.

Coriander has pain-relieving properties and is useful for headaches, muscle pain, stiffness and arthritis. Coriander is useful as a tea, because of its helpful effects on the digestive tract, and is good for increasing appetite, and relieving nausea, diarrhoea, flatulence and indigestion. It is reputed to enhance circulation and relieve fluid retention.he essential oils of the coriander leaves contain antibacterial properties and can be used as a fungicide. Coriander seeds are considered to have cholesterol-lowering properties.

Peanuts are a good source of protein and mono saturated fats, a type of fat that is given weight for healthy heart diet.

1 cup coriander leaves
1/4 cup Roasted peanuts powder
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric


  1. Blend all the above ingredients coarsely in the mixer. Shift it into the serving bowl. While serving add curd or serve as it is.big_coriander_chutney-42
