Sabudana / Sago Chivda


This dish is made using Nylon Sabudana/ Nylon Sago, a variation of normal Sabudana (Sago). It is extremely delicious and can be eaten as a snack. Kids will particularly enjoy this dish. Adding spices to the  Nylon Sabudana/ Nylon Sago enhances the flavour to a great extent! In India, This is a famous fasting dish. The crunch of the Nylon Sago and spices blend together perfectly to form the most delectable snack ever!

1 cup nylon sago (sabudana)
2 tsp peanuts
salt to taste
1/4 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
ghee for deep frying


  1. Roast the nylon sabudana (sago) and keep aside.
  2. Heat the deep pan and put the ghee.When it becomes hot deep fry the sabudana little by little at a time.
  3. After you finish frying all the sago add all the remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve or keep it in the air tight container. Enjoy!
