Spring Onion Salad

This is unique and healthy salad and side dish. It is extremely easy to make and it is very delicious as well. The combination of the spring onion, and various spices with lemon juice is a perfect one which makes lip-smacking salad!

Spring onions are a very good source of vitamin C, chromium and dietary fiber. They are also a good source of manganese. Spring onions protective against ovarian cancer. Spring onions are said to the lower the glucose levels in the blood stream. They also help destroy worms and other parasites in the stomach.

Ingredients
2 cups finely chopped spring onion (whites and greens)
2 tbsp roasted peanut powder
1 crushed green chilli
1/4 tsp chilli powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
salt to taste
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp coriander and cumin powder
(optional- for tadka)
1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds

Method
1. Combine the spring onion (whites and greens), roasted coriander and cumin powder, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, roasted peanut powder and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well.
2. Enjoy!
(optional)
3.  Heat the oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, put this tadka on to the spring onion salad. Enjoy!
