These potato/spinach/bread fritters are extremely delicious. The crispness on the outside compliments the softness inside! It is a perfect snack for the rainy season or for a cheat day 😉
Spinach is one of the richest plant sources of Iron. Beta Carotene and Lutein are all present in good quantities in Spinach which are great for your eyes. It is rich in Vitamin C as well. It is also a great antioxidant and also one of the best vegetables to reduce body inflammation.
Potatoes as a very good source of vitamin C, a good source of vitamin B6, copper, potassium, manganese, and dietary fiber. Potatoes also contain a variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity.
For The Batter
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/4 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
water as required
1 tsp coriander and cumin powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
20 potato slices
10 spinach pieces
2 Toasted bread slices (cut into 8 equal pieces
1. Make a smooth batter using the batter ingredients.
2. Dip each potato slice/spinach pieces/bread slices separately into the batter and fry till golden brown in colour and serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
